About Tax Refunds

So how do I qualify for a Tax Refund?

Quite simply, most Accountants give advice and plan on the basis that the company continues to operate. Very few operate from the perspective of (1) what if it fails or (2) what do we do now it has failed?

We are a specialist division of a firm of Accountants that only complete work on cases that are associated with a Limited Company in Liquidation. By specialising in this way we know all of the specific circumstances, reliefs and opportunities that exist to obtain a Tax refund and we use our considerable experience in this area with one aim: to secure a legitimate Tax refund for your benefit.

Can my Accountant do this?

Quite simply, if they have not contacted you or obtained the refund(s) available already it is likely that they do not know that such refunds exist nor have the ability to obtain them for you. Additionally, our work may uncover a refund that is due simply because of errors made by the Company's existing Accountant. With our expertise and service, the situation can be investigated at no cost to you unless we're successful. We do not affect the relationship you have with your existing Accountant (if any).

What Tax Refunds am I entitled to?

More than 50% of our clients do get a refund and we investigate in detail to see where you may have overpaid and then put the necessary claim(s) in so that you receive a complete refund of the overpaid Tax.

Does it affect the Liquidation?

Put simply, No. We act for Directors and in relation to their Tax affairs only. Nothing we do will have any effect on the Liquidation itself.

How long does it take?

The quickest we can get a refund is about 2 weeks but it usually takes around 4 to 6 weeks for us to investigate what refund can be obtained for you. Once you instruct us, you will have a dedicated named contact that will guide you through the process and they will keep you up to date. Regrettably, HMRC is the slowest part of our service but we work to minimise their delays and, of course, we don't get paid until you do so we have every reason not only to complete your case as quickly as possible but to secure the largest refund possible in your circumstances.

What's involved?

The process is fairly simple. Once you instruct us, we do all the hard work and review your circumstances in full. You simply sign an authority for us to get the information needed directly from HMRC and once we have the information we can then claim your refund for you as quickly as possible.
